the end of an era

The nation of Krussia, once a sleepy idyllic place, is undergoing a transformation. It's citizens are learning drill, it's leaders tactics and strategy, its womenfolk, the thrill of a man in uniform. No more do its foundries produce bells and farm implements, but now they spew forth cannons and muskets. Bayonets too, as word has it that their foes are none too fond of the pointy end.

What event has wrought such events? What could motivate this peaceful land of farmers, clerks and pimps to embrace the gods of war? Only one land could have such and effect: Lichtengrein!

The comptroller general has decreed that Prince Rupert's vile nation, once a trading partner, has committed the deed of 'fashion crimes against humanity'. Cladding their armies in blue and yellow of the most vile shades, these people's are guilty of the basest betrayal(of aesthetics).

Mention too has been made of their allies Nordmark. None know what hideous shades these base criminals utilise, but that they have associated with Lichtengrein is crime enough.

Word has come also of a Bandit King Zels of Dreicolour. He has thrown over his lands' righteous rulers with his revolutionary armies of illiterate peasants, and now threatens his neighbors. He shall learn soon enough not to question the natural order of things...

For the moment the armies of Krussia train. Armed and clad in the surplus Russian equipment. No longer needed now that it has withdrawn from the Austro-Prussian conflict. Soon its armies will gain some real experience...

Enjoyable, original and very promising!

(mad collector of (fictitious) Lace Wars uniforms - extremely curious to discover the elegant and decent uniforms of Krussia and the hideous Dreicolourer ones...)

Thanks unforunately the uniforms are, at the moment, just russian cast-offs.
i'm raising a historical russian and prussian army at the moment. once they're done, i'll probably do up some guards. but it could be some time!
